Airtel Pay is a mobile money and merchant payment platform from Airtel Uganda that allows businesses and individuals to make and receive payments securely. Setting up an Airtel Pay account is simple and can be done through a few steps.
Steps to Register
- Visit the nearest Airtel service center or contact an Airtel business representative.
- Request for an Airtel Pay merchant account registration.
- Provide the necessary documents (listed below).
- Fill out and sign the registration form provided by Airtel.
- Once registered, you will receive a confirmation SMS and a Merchant Code.
- Start using your Airtel Pay account for receiving payments.
Documents Required
- Valid national ID or passport
- Business registration certificate (if registering as a business)
- Trading license (optional but recommended for formal businesses)
- Phone number registered in your name
