Overview
A Police Certificate of Good Conduct is issued by the Directorate of Interpol and International Relations in Uganda. It is commonly required for visa applications, job recruitment, and international travel.
Steps to Apply
- Visit the Uganda Police Interpol Headquarters located in Kololo, Kampala or a designated regional Interpol office.
- Fill in the application form provided at the center.
- Submit the necessary documents listed below.
- Have your fingerprints taken by the Interpol staff.
- Pay the applicable fee (usually UGX 76,000 via URA Payment System).
- Collect your certificate after 5–10 working days.
Documents Required
- Copy of your National ID or Passport
- Two recent passport-sized photos
- Proof of payment to URA (bank receipt or e-payment printout)
Important Notes
- Foreigners residing in Uganda are also eligible to apply with a valid visa or work permit.
- Applicants outside Uganda can apply through Ugandan embassies or consulates.
- Ensure the name on your documents matches exactly to avoid rejection.
