If your Ugandan passport has been lost, stolen, or damaged while overseas, you can apply for a replacement through the nearest Ugandan embassy or consulate.
Steps to Replace Your Passport
- Locate the nearest Ugandan embassy or consulate in your country of residence.
- Book an appointment for passport services via their website or email.
- Prepare the required documents (listed below).
- Attend your appointment and submit your application in person.
- Pay the applicable replacement fee.
- Wait for processing and return to collect your new passport or arrange for courier delivery.
Documents Required
- Police report (if passport is lost or stolen)
- National ID or a copy of the lost passport (if available)
- Completed passport application form (available at the embassy)
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- Payment receipt
