How to Apply for a TIN as a Corporate Entity (URA)

Overview

Corporate organizations in Uganda are required to register for a Tax Identification Number (TIN) with the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA). This number is necessary for tax compliance and financial reporting.

Steps to Follow

  1. Visit the URA web portal at www.ura.go.ug.
  2. Select e-Services and choose TIN registration - Non-individual.
  3. Fill out the required details for the business entity including name, registration number, address, and directors.
  4. Generate and download the filled TIN form.
  5. Submit the completed form and attachments to the URA office for verification.

The corporate TIN is usually issued within 2–5 business days after submission and successful verification.
